Modoc Middle School

Yesterday, Modoc Middle School’s 7th grade students had the exciting opportunity to travel to Ashland, Oregon to attend a performance of Julius Caesar at the renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. This enriching experience is part of our ongoing commitment to academic rigor and the study of classic literature, which plays a vital role in helping students develop critical thinking, empathy, and cultural awareness. At MMS, we believe that exposing students to complex texts and professional theatrical performances deepens their understanding of language and the human experience. We extend our sincere thanks to 7th grade teacher Lynette Wells for her thoughtful planning and supervision of the trip. We also gratefully acknowledge Melissa Carlson and the MJUSD Food Services Staff, the MJUSD Transportation Department, our dedicated adult chaperones, and the MMS Community Support Club for their generous support in making this experience possible.
